Visceral manipulation is a gentle therapy that assesses the structural relationships between viscera (organs) and their fascial or ligamentous attachments to the various systems in the body. Visceral manipulation assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive, eliminatory, neuroendocrine, and lymphatic dysfunction. It aims to restore movement of the tissues that surround and suspend our organ, thereby relieving tension and restriction in surrounding structures that can become painful as a result of changes in movement.

One of our physical therapists with advanced training in visceral manipulation will evaluate you and your condition. They will then apply gentle and specific pressure to your abdomen to address the identified dysfunction to improve function and decrease pain.
